چو آستانه بدین در همیشه سر دارد
Will find hand reaching to kiss your feet
ز زهد خشک ملولم کجاست باده ناب
I am weary of dry asceticism where is the pure wine?
که بوی باده مدامم دماغ تر دارد
Since the fragrance of wine always refreshes my mind
ز باده هیچت اگر نیست این نه بس که ترا
Even if you do not get anything from wine, isn’t it enough
دمی ز وسوسه عقل بی خبر دارد
That for a moment it frees you from the whispers of crud thought?
کسی که از ره تقوی قدم برون ننهاد
Whoever has never strayed from the path of piety
به عزم میکده اکنون سر سفر دارد
Now is prepared for the journey to the tavern
دل شکسته حافظ به خاک خواهد برد
Hafiz’s broken heart will take to the grave
چو لاله داغ هوایی که بر جگر دارد
Like the tulip, its caprice mark upon its soul
